How we do it
EnRoute
EnRoute enables a Content Owner that is currently shipping tapes and discs to customers (e.g. a Broadcaster) to digitally deliver the same content utilizing a combination of software and hardware, greatly improving the efficiency and effectiveness of its traffic management.
Once a Content Owner transforms his Programs into a digital broadcast quality format (e.g. MPEG2 4:2:2) and these files are stored on the Endavo network, he is able to use the EnTrust Media Management System (EMMS) to manage the digital delivery of the files to EnRoute Traffic Server(s) that have been installed at the customers office or network locations (e.g. broadcaster).
Once the digital broadcast quality files are received by the EnRoute Traffic Server(s), the file can be copied onto a physical media, such as a BetaCam or DigiCam tape, played-out directly onto the customer’s network for insertion into their video play-out system.
Depending on the amount of traffic that a Content Owner has at the current time, economic advantages of using the EnCast product to digitally deliver files to its customer and/or customer network locations could be significant.
