Hello from Pete
Hi folks,
As we head into springtime, things are heating up (both temperature wise and on the OTT front). Our team trekked across the globe this past month in order to make several conference appearances — MIPTV in Cannes, NAB in Las Vegas and Digital Hollywood in Santa Monica, just to name a few.
The interesting thing was, no matter where we spoke or where we exhibited, telcos, broadcasters and content producers were clamoring to learn more about Over-the-Top video (Talk about a hot topic). When we first talked about our OTT Video Services Platform six months ago, the phrase was not easily recognized in the mainstream and often needed explaining. Now, not only do the majority of industry professionals understand OTT — they also want to be part of it.
OTT opens doors to unlimited programming options, new global audiences and an interactive viewing experience unlike any other. So to promote our OTT message, we launched the new EndavoMedia.com, which highlights our goal to "Syndicate the Planet" through features like our Screening Room, Telco TV Demo and our new TalkingTelcOTT blog.
Let's face it. For OTT, things are only going to get hotter from here. So we're putting on our shades and converging on OTTCon East, in our hometown of Atlanta, where our CEO Paul D Hamm will be a featured speaker. Hope to see you there.
All the best,
Pete Contardo

Spotlight on Telcos
Telco TV is on the rise. According to a recent study by SNL Kagan and MediaBiz, telco TV operators posted consumer increases last year, with companies such as AT&T U-Verse and Verizon FiOS seeing a subscriber-base increase of 65 percent.
Smaller telcos are seeing this trend as well, and the potential for added subscriber revenue and new telco tv services increases with OTT. For us, OTT represents the much-awaited convergence of traditional TV and the Internet. It's about the blurring lines between PCs, TVs and mobile devices. And most importantly, OTT is about delivering content and services to people, not just places, which represents a big transition and huge business opportunity for telco service providers.
Today, telcos can wrap "quality of service" around OTT video services and make it easily accessible to consumers through trusted channels, which can provides a key advantage against pure-play OTT solutions. At Endavo, we believe telcos are in the best possible position to deliver the type of OTT services that improve the customer experience and lead to greater subscriber loyalty and revenue potential.

Insights from Kelvin G.
Hey everybody,
Kelvin G. here — and I'm all "red carpet Hollywood" today. It's probably got something to do with my little trip to Santa Monica a few weeks ago, where I met up with Endavo at Digital Hollywood. And let me tell you, it gave me all kinds of ideas for my content and how to rev up the revenue taking zombies over the top to multiple screens.
The stats certainly back this up. I was just reading that multiplatform viewing has reached mass-market status with two-thirds of Epix subscribers claiming they watch movies online, and 59% saying they watch entertainment programming through a combo of TV, on-demand and online platforms.
And then there's mobile. Nielsen found that the number of consumers watching mobile video increase 57% year-over-year, from 11.2 million to 17.6 million.
The bottom line: Multiples are in. Am I right Brangelina? So grab some popcorn and a box of Milk Duds. It's lights, cameras, 3-screen action for my Zombie Truckers 3.
Until next time,
