Deal Allows Endavo's Telco TV Partners to Deliver KidsCo's Educational and Entertaining Children's Channel via OTT Video Services to Consumers
ATLANTA, Ga. (October 27, 2011) - Endavo Media and KidsCo have executed a content distribution agreement to provide the KidsCo channel for multi-screen delivery through Endavo's OTT Video Services Platform by its global telco TV partners.
The agreement with Endavo expands KidsCo's distribution of its video content to service providers throughout the world. At the same time, the agreement provides Endavo Media's clients with access to KidsCo's unique slate of quality, educational, entertaining and age-appropriate content that will enhance their consumer video services options.
This deal enhances Endavo's content services offering to Etisalat, which is rolling out "OnWeb", the new web-based video service that will be available to Etisalat's fiber-connected residential customers on all of LG's Smart TVs, and expanding to mobile devices and screens, as well as other operators, throughout the Middle East and Africa.
Paul Robinson, Global CEO at KidsCo, says: "The Middle East and Africa are real growth markets for KidsCo, so to add one of the largest operators in the region to our portfolio gives us a terrific platform from which to showcase our superb and growing library of content. KidsCo's original programming, such as Boo &Me,is really popular with kids across these regions because they can relate – and that's our goal".
"We have an increasing demand for high-quality content of all genres to support telcos' use of our Platform for global OTT video services," said Peter Contardo, CMO/Head of Content for Endavo Media. "The KidsCo channel provides some of the best children's educational programming available and we are excited to have it as a key channel in our content services offering."
Etisalat, aiming to be one of 10 telecom operators worldwide with presence in 18 countries across the Middle East and Africa, currently uses Endavo for content services in support of its OTT-TV initiative. In 2009, Etisalat licensed Endavo's Platform to support the roll-out of an OTT video delivery infrastructure over its own Internet and wireless networks.
"As one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world, we are delighted to be adding another high-quality content provider to our existing portfolio of channels. We are thrilled to offer our customers an ever expanding list of programming choices from around the globe," stated Matthew Willsher, Chief Marketing Officer, Etisalat.
