Digital Media Transport
EnRoute Transport enables a Content Owner/Aggregator to directly deliver large content files or channels point-to-point, leveraging the power of the Internet and dedicated local hardware versus the traditional transport method of shipping tapes and discs to distributors (e.g. a local broadcaster). EnRoute Transport greatly improves the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of bulk delivery of content.
Once a Content Owner transforms content into a digital, broadcast-quality format (e.g. MPEG2 4:2:2) and these files are stored in Endavo Media Management System, then secure and immediate deliveries can be made directly into EnRoute Transport Server(s) installed at the recipient's network location(s).
Once digital files are received by the EnRoute Transport Server, they can be copied onto a physical media, such as a BetaCam or DigiCam tape, to be properly formatted and inserted onto the customer’s network. The economic and time-saving advantages of using the EnCast Transport solution to digitally deliver files globally is significant.
